Having had a Belkin router for around 4 years with no real problems, and reading these reviews, we felt that Belkin was definately the make for us. We needed an upgrade for all our gadgets. However, after a weekend of phoning Belkin technical support and numerous calls to our IP because it was not picking up our phone line, the final straw came when we were told that we needed to download an update from the internet! When we said we were not able to connect to the internet (after a weekend of calls saying this very thing), we were told that we need to go to an internet cafe (we live in rural North Devon), download the update onto a memory stick, then put it on our computer! This was for a product which we had just bought, brand new! We didn't feel that we wanted to travel around in search of an internet cafe! Instead, we returned the product to PC world, exchanged it for a Netgear N, which took 10 minutes to set-up with no expensive phone calls needed!
Perhaps we were just unlucky, but Belkin, You really disappointed!!!

This is the second Belkin Wireless Modem I have owned. This new "N" version was purchased as an upgrade. First of all it was so simple to connect and install from the box (as all Belkin products are) and had my wireless network up and running in half an hour. Secondly it actually looks atractive and fits on my desk a lot easier than the previous box. So far I can use my laptop all over my house which is a huge improvement on my last wireless modem which had black spots and used to cut out at regular intervals. In conclusion I am extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

I'm not what you would call an expert in setting up wireless networks, but it all proved very straightforward with this router/modem.
It all worked with no need to call any helpline numbers.
The range is good too - modem is situated on 3rd storey, but laptop stays wireless connected even in the garden.
No complaints so far.

Overall not at all impressed! Thought we would upgrade from our linksys G to the belkin n300..big mistake! Having been on the telephone to belkins indian technical support for over 2 hours we still cannot connect wirelessly to the router. I have tried from 3 laptops! Belkins suggestion in the end was to try different combinations of all the wireless setting and i got a reference number and told to phone back if it still did not work.... the number of possible combinations is staggering, so i think i will be returniNg this to PC world for a linksys.. Piece of rubbish in my opiinion and their technical support is a joke!

value for money easy to setup and compatable for both lap tops, fast speed. I would recommend the purchase.
