Can replace AD-5EL

(5 out of 5) by James B. Spink on Oct 27, 2009 (Kent, UK)
The Casio AD-5MLE-TC1 is similar to the earlier model AD-5EL - which is the model currently shown in the illustration! Clicking the "see larger image" link shows the correct model. Amazon also lists a generic AD-5 model; all are nine volt output and will suit most of Casio's nine volt portable keyboards. There is a comprehensive compatibility list under Product Description.

The AD-5MLE-TC1 is an international model rated at 100v - 240v with a 9v 850mA output. It is in-line, rather than the power unit having a moulded plug attached like the AD-5EL; the detachable mains cable enters one side and the 9v output cable is fitted to the opposite side.

Works well with my Casio LK55, replacing a lost AD-5EL. It worked out the slightly cheaper option as it was supplied directly by Amazon. Choose the power unit style and price that best suits your needs, but at around a tenner the Casio branded AD-5MLE-TC1 deserves fives stars for value.

Adaptor for casio keyboard. Does the job as it should and is far better than sets of batteries

Don't forget to buy!!!!

(4 out of 5) by Mrs. Emma J. Willis on Oct 12, 2009 (Devon, England)
Would have given 5 stars but think it should be made clearer that you will need to purchase an adaptor when you buy the keyboard. If you don't then you need to take out a mortgage for batteries!!!! It does exactly what you would expect when used though!
