Sony BRAVIA 19" Widescreen
Bought this as a second tv for watching DVDs and have been very pleased so far. The picture is sharp with natural colours given a decent source on the 720p HDMI input. On a quick test 1080i did not improve things. We also got excellent results using the SCART inputs and RGB from a Philips DVD player. Sound is ok but that is a limit of the chassis size. Have not had a chance to try the tuner side yet.
It is easy to set up with decent on-screen menus and a logical layout for the remote control. For what I paid I am very pleased and would buy again.

Great as kitchen TV
As the title suggests I got this for the kitchen for use purely as a TV.
Operation is easy with a great digital picture and as a package it looks good on the eye. The freeview programme guide loads quickly and it's easy to get programme info as well as switch between digital and analogue channels.
I gave it four stars as the stand is fixed (no tilt function) and sound is average - something I have found with most LCD TVs due to the lack of internal space.
The digital signal in the UK is still low power though so don't expect it to work with freeview unless you have a proper aerial.

Brilliant Bravia!!
Amazon came up trumps with both price and delivery. This 19" version of the larger one we already have is equally as good - perfect for the new installation of new system in our canal boat. Picture and sound quality are excellent. Well worth the money.Sony KDL-19L4000 19" Widescreen BRAVIA HD Ready LCD TV - with Freeview

Good for TV, bad for PC
Purchased this TV based on it's native resolution (1680x1050). It is not possible to run this TV at this resolution from any input - HDMI and VGA do not allow you to select it.

Good TV....but don't buy for use as computer display
Good TV...but I bought this to also use as an external display for a VAIO laptop. The advertised 1680 x 1050 resolution is normal for 19" computer monitors, so it appears to be a great dual purpose product. It's only when you plug the computer in (or delve into the back of the manual) you find out that it doesn't support this resolution on ANY of the inputs, but actually much lower resolutions. The result is a "scanned" image with a fuzzy screen. Well done Sony on completely misleading me. I've sold this second hand and resume my search for a monitor/TV combo for the home office (starting with Samsung and LG which do make proper TV/monitor combos...next challenge: getting the VAIO to work with them)
