Not being a real music or radio expert, I find this an excellent radio which to my "uneducated" ear sounds great.

The comprehensive instruction booklet takes some study as the radio has 3 different modes and a host of functions but on balance its generally easy to understand.

I bought the silver one as it was the only one available when I made my purchase but looking at the black one now available I think I would have preferred it.

If Roberts Radio is good enough for The Queen then its good enough for me !!

Excellent bit of kit, works straight out of the box with no problems finding my wifi network. The manual is avaliable as a pdf from the Roberts website, so read this first to understand the product (if the previous reviewers who gave this item less than 4 stars had done this then the problems they encountered would not have occured!!). The range of internet radio stations is overwhelming, and via the wifiradio website you can add and organise them to suit your own needs (so don`t be concerned about only having limited presets), which is another simple task. The idea of internet radio can be confusing, but this radio makes it as easy as possible. I`ve not really used the dab/fm function as there is so much to listen to via the internet. The media player option was easy to set up, windows media player did not want to play via zone alarms firewall so i use jamcast (which also adds more podcasts to listen to) and its fine. Sound quality is brilliant, with the volume controls clearly visible on the top of the machine, next to the multifunction wheel, the use of which is pretty intuitive. A huge range of podcasts & listen again (BBC radio) are also avaliable, you can even listen in on airport and emergency service broadcasts in the scanner option!! This is a great gadget with hidden talents you will find as you use it more & more, i would have given it 6 stars if possible

This was a present for my partner who is very into his music and listening to the radio (well all things electrical really!!). He loves this radio with all its options. Living on the Isle of Man we are unable to get digital radio at the moment and were only able to get his favorite radio station (planet rock) via the Sky box. This enables him to access this and so much more. He chose it so am unable to go on about technical details but would highly recommend it.

Well featured and looks good but did not work out of the box! It would not see my wifi access point due to a conflict with my HP laptop - worked fine with the laptop off but what's the point in that! Still trying to resolve the issue with roberts tech support who are not that pro-active..... Normally would have returned it straight away ..... I tried a roku which works perfectly and sounds better but it's not portable: very dissapointed.

This is an incredible radio - even better than I had expected from Roberts. It is beautifully made and the sound quality is excellent. Mostly, I am using the internet radio because, as I live in Spain, I want to listen to some of my favourite UK stations as well. Excellent value and highly recommended. The best thing I have bought in ages!
