Portable CD Player

The quality of sound produced is excellent and it's easy to programme. It's also portable and elegant.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It's given me hours of pleasure - one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Good for the kitchen, maybe not the living room.

It offered us the options of CD and cassette, the size was perfect for the top of our microwave, the silver colour did not clash and the price was within our budget.
In the event our choice has been justified and we're happy with the purchase. The sound quality isn't bad at all for the money, particularly when the bass booster is on. Radio, CD and cassette controls are much as you would expect at this level - nothing flashy but nevertheless functional and easy to use.
In short you get what you pay for and while the Soundmachine may not be at the top of anybody's wishlist, it's an honest and practical piece of kit.
At the price and backed by Amazon's usual good service, it's well worth considering.

just ok
(3 out of 5) by S. Low on Jan 7, 2009This does NOT have a headphone socket as stated in this review. The older version AZ1022 does but this one has an MP3 connection instead. I bought this model specifically so my daughter could listen through headphones so was obviously disappointed and surprised that it didn't have connection. Will have to try and get hold of old model now.
Apart from this is standard rather flimsy cheap cd cassette. Ok for the money.

After 2 weeks the cd player failed

Admittedly, the item is very cheap but I am very disappointed with it and would never recommend it.
