I have just bought one of these for my daughter for xmas, just checking it out b4 wrapping it up..and this is what i found out.

2 x 3 watt rms speakers and surround sound capeability.
nice compact remote ( palm of your hand size)

1 usb connector (read my 8 gig key ) no problem at all

1 mmc memory card slot (bit stiff and takes time to recognize card being removed , but read cards ok)

Excellent sound quality
brilliant build quality

Top loading dvd player - plays standard Dvd and home made dvd`s / data dvd

The 7 inch tft flat screen is good quality and displays dvds adequatly.
files i managed to play from dvd-r and from usb memory stick include.
.jpg picture files
.mp3 files music files.
.avi movie files (not all types see below)

Will not play .DivX or .Mp4 files (despite the manual saying it will play mp4)

indexing appears limited to 999 items
(i had 1006 mp3s and a few movies on my usb key ( but it could only show the first 999 items on disc) , after removing the mp3`s the movies showed up .

Can also be used as a digital photo frame and will display your pictures automatically when a card is inserted.

Overall id give this product 4 stars out of 5. the only thing that lets this item down is the lack of DivX suppport , but for £80 ish u cannot go wrong here.
