The Macally Microphone & Speaker for the Ipod
Having bought this mic to use with my Ipod Touch 1g,learnt that it will not record in stereo but you can plug in an alternative mic etc. It is quite sensative and although playing back through the speaker is a bit tinny, it is adequate. Works well with the Ipod Classic and as soon as you plug it in you will get the Voice Memo option on the Menu. Quality of the recording is dependant on the sample rate you select and I found even the lowest rate OK. Not all the Apps inteneded for I-phone or Ipod Touch 2g will work with on the Touch 1g so before getting the app read the specs on I-Tunes.

A Must iPod Touch 1G Gadget
Macally iVoicepro Voice And Audio Recorder for iPod
Great product! My iPod Touch 1G is now a Skype phone which is brilliant. No need to have PC on to make Skype calls anymore as my Touch connects directly to the router on my home network. Cool retro design and a line-in too boot!

iPod Touch is now a Skype phone
Bought this for 1st Generation iPod Touch. Plugged it in. Downloaded the free Skype app. And I now have a Skype voip phone I can use wherever there is a wifi link.
I saved more than the cost of the microphone when I used it to phone home from holiday. No expensive roaming charges.
Easy to setup, it just worked.
