Embleton on May 22, 2009Excellent product,good looks,good sound from such a small unit.If like me you dont like a tinny sound output that you get from small radios,fear not,this product gives a very good tone.The rechargable battery option is just a great bonous.Just to round off,if you want a small compact,good sounding radio put this top of your list.
Roberts RD-59 DAB/FM Radio
(4 out of 5) by E. Parry Morris on Oct 11, 2009The radio works well on rechargeable batteries, but it's power hungry and even 2650mAh cells don't last that long. I quickly found that using the radios in-built charger took too long to recharge the batteries. This was quite frustrating as I like to use the radio without being plugged in the mains. I purchased a second set of AA batteries and use an external fast charger. This gives me a second set of batteries always available - problem fixed! Otherwise the radio is good value, although a carry handle would be a useful addition as the radio is no light-weight.
