A very good camera for the price
The best feature on this camera is the 20x zoom, the range is awesome, the video quality is also very good. In good lighting conditions the image qualiy is fine as well. The face detect feature is good to have for holiday snaps, it saves messing about setting the timer and then rushing to get into the shot.
I'm not to keen on the free spinning thumb wheel though, for me it needs a clicker wheel instead; It's too easy to whizz past the shutter and apperture settings that you intended.

Nice camera
It works fantastically for me. I have not found the rotating dial a problem - just be careful. As I have "large hands" had to get use to the grip! The pictures are up to my previous canon camera standard and more. I really appreciate the pull out viewfinder/screen, and was one of the reasons why I bought it - excellent for macro near the ground stuff. Overall, good value.

Great value camera with knobs on
This is my first decent camera purchase and i can't fault it. Checked lots of reviews and they all said that this was worth the money and i cannot disagree. Amazing quality pics, very easy to use, even as a point and shoot. Software enables easy transfer and as for all the adjustments, i haven't even gone there yet. Highly recommended.

couldn't be better
This camera is a gem amongst cameras. I am an enthusiastic amateur who wants to learn more. The pictures this produces are just amazing. Crystal clear and sharp. Sure its a little heavier and bulkier than a compact, but its worth it, and you get used to it. Macro is brilliant, and in auto mode all the decisions are made for you so you can just point and shoot if you wish. Absolutely superb, well done canon! Only down side is that the lens cap doesn't have a string attached but I have a brother who is quite handy and drilled a small hole and attached using schering elastic.

Camera PowerShot SX10 IS
The PowerShot SX10 IS seems to fit all my requirements. Lots of functions and quick reaction to pressing the shutter. I had a Powershot A80 before which was great apart from the slow shutter which meant you missed the action because of the delayed shutter click. I also like the swivel view finder which allows you to hold the camera above your head, ideal in crowded places or tight angles and still make a decent composition.
