Sony DAB radio with CD player

(5 out of 5) by Lloyd Mcintosh on Feb 14, 2009
Looks very nice, cool, solid build and sounds very good as well, clear with good bass, a present for the wife, it resides in the kitchen/ conservatory where it gets a lot of use, wife plays her CDs, Kids play CDs, I had a party a few weeks ago and played MP3 songs through it and it was loud enough, also I can now listen to my favourite DJ Peter Young on Jazz FM.
Although more expensive than a lot of other products we are very happy with our purchase and think it was well worth the money.

(4 out of 5) by Mr. G. J. Carter on Jun 23, 2009 (England)
The unit is impressive, it does every thing it says on the box. For such a portable unit the quality of sound is incredable and it is so easy to use.
I would recommend the Sony XDR - S100 CDM to anyone who likes a quality product.

CD/Radio

(4 out of 5) by Mrs. C. A. Arden on Jul 13, 2009 (Hove, East Sussex, England)
This item has proved to be just what I required as a DAB Radio with CD. I specifically wanted it for my kitchen. I can access almost all the stations I want plus some I don't, but hey I am not complaining. Very occasionally there is static and I have to move it slightly to remove the static.

Solid build & very good performance

(5 out of 5) by Ben Hall on Jul 31, 2009 (Reading, England)
This is a weighty portable at 3.76 Kg (8 lb) without six C or R14 batteries. The set produces very good sound from DAB and CD alike. The CD sound is surprisingly good; when I plugged in a pair of Grado SR60 headphones a warmth and depth was evident from both classical and popular styles of music. There is fine level of detail from the CD player.

The radio self-tuned in a minute or two and the various display options are clear and easy to read from a distance.

The remote control is intuitive - as indeed is the set itself - and is a useful addition to an all round very good performer.
