Great iPod Touch 2G case

(5 out of 5) by Luke Ellis on Jan 3, 2009
I have just got this case and I am delighted with it. I was looking for a case that wouldn't add too much bulk, would protect the iPod's screen when its not in use, but would still allow me to use the screen easily.

This fits the bill perfectly, the front cover contains a solid aluminium sheet so the screen is well protected. When the front cover is open the screen is uncovered so it can be used normally. Two magnets hold the cover in place effectively when closed.

The inside is lined with grey felt and the outside is black leather which looks great and feels nice in the hand. The stitching is discreet and looks like it will hold up well.

The front cover has a pouch on the inside which comes with a mirror inside - I don't have much use for a mirror myself but other people might find that useful. The cutouts allow access to all the sockets, on/off switch and volume rocker.

Overall the case looks very high quality and does the job well.

Essential item.

Firstly, if you own a 2nd Generation iPod Touch - You WILL need a case, that's certain, and I can highly recommend this one! And although this case provides no physical screen protection, the shiny silver metal back is fully covered, which is just as well. The screen is protected though by the top of the case which is lined with alluminium (aircraft grade even). One thing I don't understand about this case is though, under the flap at the top of the case, a mirror slides out with a sticker saying "Calvary" on - random or what? Perhaps you could explain in the comments of this review?

Anyway, great item and great price. Packaging, just like the case is magnetized and very easy to crack open.

Keeping It Safe

(5 out of 5) by David P. Suter on Feb 11, 2009 (Wallasey)
After spending all that hard earned cash on the gorgeous i-pod touch don't skimp on a cheap & cheerful case. This case may be slightly dearer than some on the market but it is top quality and keeps the i-pod safe & sound with an aluminum strip covering the glass screen.

Never a truer saying in life as "You Get What You Pay For"

A good case overall

(4 out of 5) by Mr. Joe Tang on Feb 15, 2009 (United Kingdom)
After looking for a case for my 2G touch, I decided to go for this one.
It's a very very well made case apart from 1 slight problem.

The area for the touch screen, whilst good, seems be be slightly smaller for the actual touchscreen itself. I found myself having to much the touch up a bit to access the bottom of the screen. This is more prominent when you are using safari and have to access the controls at the bottom of the screen.

Other than this slight problem, I'm very happy with this case and I'm still sure I made a good purchase.

Nice case but pity.....

The case is as described, good quality and the best possible fit for my iPod Touch, although a little expensive, you get what you pay for. However, for iPod Users, it has one very big fault. The iPod has a light sensor just above the screen, that automatically adjusts the display brightness. The case as supplied obscures this sensor, so that the screen is always dark!!!(The iPod thinks it's in a dark place) Having seen the problem before with other cases, I punched a hole in the leather, using a hole punch, in the appropriate position and all is fine now. But I should not have had to do this, especially with a case of this value. I emailed the Manufacturer, with photo's showing the "hole" required and apart from an acknowledgement that I emailed, nothing has been done or said. Otherwise I would have given the case 5 stars. It looks smart and protects the iPod well, with no possibility of it "falling out".
