Currie on Oct 9, 2009 (West Lothian, Scotland)Having deliberated for some time to replacee my old creative MP3 player i was very pleased with this purchase, the new technology nowadays has improved so much, i was really surprised with the lightness and thinness of this player, and it does what it says on the tin, came in ever so handy when in Spain i could listen to the football on a saturday afternoon, as well as listening to my favourite music, really great value for the money.

Only teeny weeny problem I have found is that you can switch it on accidentally, especially since I put a small cover on it. Perhaps I shall take the cover off again and see if it still switches on accidentally.
Overall I am more than pleased with my purchase. Have not used it a great deal yet but will put it to good use in a few days when I head off on a city break.

Walkman grows up

Easy to use, decent memory size, sound quality is great. Charges quickly from PC and lasts a long time on one charge (30+ hours)
Downsides....
Radio reception not great and only has FM (What about the sport on 5 live??)
Shuffle feature always starts on same song (very annoying)
Only charges form my laptop, will not charge from desktop for some reason.
All in all, a great purchase

Fantastic alternative to IPod

I had one of the small stick Walkman's which was dreadful because it wouldn't play protected tracks and a small Creative Stone, which was fine but limited on usability, but this newer style Walkman is absolutely perfect.
This Walkman does everything you need, its easy to transfer files, although I'd recommend you update Windows Media Player to V.11 which translates protected files more easily, if you're synching files that way. The screen is easy, and its simple to look through your tracks and select what you want to listen too.
Absolutely no complaints, over 300 tracks (so far) on the device and sound quality as always with Sony products is very good. And finally - its an exceptional price and far cheaper than an equivalent IPod.
