Absolutely fantastic product - Highly recommended!!!

At the last point of my investigation it was between the Sony 52W4500 and this one, but I decided that the innovations of the Samsung were worth the slightly smaller screen size.
I wasn't disappointed. I placed the order on the 3 Dec and the product was delivered on the 5th...great service from Hughes....and wow....what a fantastic TV. It has the blackest blacks I have ever seen due to the LED backlighting. The HD picture delivered via my Sky HD box takes my breath away, but I was really surprised at how well it handled the Standard Definition signals as well! And if the fantastic picture wasn't enough, the TV is the most beautiful I have ever seen...if it wasn't for the gorgeous product it delivered, I would be happy to just stare at it, even without turning it on.
I will post some pictures as soon as I have time.
Buy this LCD and you won't be disappointed.....

Stunning

My comparison test was the remastered Space 1999 and the Sony Bravia 40W2000 and upscaled through a Pioneer DVD and a Sharp Blu-ray. This series has a lot of black - it being the colour of space and all that! On the Sony the picture quality is very good. On the Samsung it's stunning, I haven't managed to watch a full episode yet I keep pausing the image - it is really that good. Images sharp, movement clear, colour vibrant and the blacks - well they are just that black. On top of that speakers aren't too bad either - you know how bad Samsung speakers can be.
A really top piece of kit. Oh yes and the Dark Knight on Blu-Ray - knees just gone weak....

the specs given for this TV appear under the newer and more expensive 9 series LE46A956D1M
