Does exactly what it says on the can.

(5 out of 5) by R. Johnston on May 20, 2009
I paid double the price for my last scanner and compared to this one it was rubbish. if your looking for a reasonably priced scanner easy to set-up and operate this is the one for you.

Amazing scanner, but...

(4 out of 5) by Mr. Ps Hill on Mar 21, 2009 (UK)
Absolutley amazing scanner, almost flawless...the only problem I've found is when using heavy academic texts which put a lot of pressure on the glass in the middle, the scanner underneath scrapes and sometimes gets jammed completley. :-(. Having the book toward the bottom of the scanner seems to have fixed this.

When using just plain sheets of paper, it's brilliant. The software is easy to use, just a bit jerky when you're putting together a big document like a pdf. Would recommend to any student!

Good scanner at a reasonable price.

(5 out of 5) by Debbie Lennon on Mar 3, 2009 (Liverpool Merseyside)
This is the first scanner I have owned. Software easy to install. Only scanned one picture so far to "test" the quality and was very impressed.
Would definitely recommend for ease of use and picture quality.

NOT compatible with vista 64 bit

(3 out of 5) by Kate on Apr 1, 2009 (Birmingham, UK)
Good priced, amazon service is great as usual, but be advised: drivers will NOT work with 64bit vista. I think Amazon should be clearer on that and change "Vista Compatible" to "32-bit Vista Compatible".

I am returning it for this reason (I called first canon to confirm i am not doing anything wrong). Too bad!
