CanoScan LiDE 100
(5 out of 5) by Spen King on Jul 2, 2009 (Solihull, UK)I have bought a number of these slimline Canon scanners for the office (originally the LiDE 20, then LiDE 25 and now the LiDE 100) and found them all to be excellent machines that get better with each new model. They're such good value that it would cost far more to buy fancy network scanner sharing software.
They take up very little space on the desktop. They're easy to move from one desk to another, just plug in a USB lead, no power supplies to mess about with. The packaged software is intuitive and easy to use. There are also TWAIN drivers to enable you to scan direct to an application (eg. Word, or Photoshop).
They may not be the quietest or fastest scanners around but they're more than adequate for document scanning in the office, and they still can manage a quality photo scan. I'm so impressed by them I even bought one for home!

Cheap and cheeful
(3 out of 5) by R. BLANDFORD on Jun 18, 2009Don't expect wonders from this scanner - colours are very difficult to calibrate and "downgrading" from a (broken :( ) great HP scanner that cost over two hundred pounds and you'll notice a difference!

(5 out of 5) by Rev. N. S. Saul on Jun 5, 2009My order of this product from Amazon arrived very quickly and I very soon installed it on my laptop with no problems as it is compatible with Vista. I tested it thoroughly and it works extremely well, and the copies I made are excellent.
