I bought this for use in our office, and have found that it is easy to install on both Mac and PC. It is intuitive to use, and offers a good range of options on how you want to control it. I have used the text scan to convert a scanned document back into editable text, and although it does lose all formatting, once you get used to it, it was very useful. A good fast scanner, I would recommend it as a good buy.

Simple but good. Software is not to my liking - but that's because I like old-fashioned windows with grey menu bars and drop-down menus.

Powered by the USB cable, this is a very versatile device that is easy to get out of the cupboard, use and put away again. Image quality appears to be good to excellent. For an entry-level scanner this is hard to beat.

Ordered this to scan old photos into computer for saving to disc etc.
I am not impressed with the quality of the photos scanned but maybe this would be OK for documents etc. I didn't find the software easy to use either - for beginners.

I am very glad that I bought this particular scanner as I wasn't dissapointed. It actually exceeded my expectation on how compact it is, multifunctional and how easy it is to copy my work in how it sends the work directly to the printer, via the computer, almost instantly. I copy mostly from big books and they fit in the scanner so easily.

I am a very impressed and satisfied customer.

have used a canon LiDE scanner for about 8 years and no problems. brought a computer with Vista and there is no drivers for the scanner so bought a new Canon scanner, the LiDE 100. As I expected, no problems. I can recommend it unreservedly
