JJ's pixy review
Although easy to set up and use, it didn't do quite what I'd hoped - doesn't let me scan straight across to my laser printer, have to scan and save then print separately, and I still haven't managed to register as a user as I can't work out what the serial number is... On the other hand, the colour reproduction on ordinary copies is brilliant, good register and true colours.I haven't tried printing out photos yet.

No-nonsense family kit
I previously had a Canon MP220 for working at home and was looking for a replacement. The MP190 was ordered effortlesly from Amazon and was up and running within 20 minutes. It does not have some of the features of the MP220 (card slots etc) but for a straightfoward printer for everyday family use - homework, letters, photo printing, copying - this is proving ideal. The real cost of running a printer is of course the replacement cartridges but no real complaints on quality or life of the ones ordered from Amazon so far. For a decent quality printer at less than £50 I don't think you can go far wrong with this Canon.

So Far So Good.
So far so good, after only a few weeks. Set-up froze half-way through, but on-screen instructions quickly sorted things out. Scanning is generally much quieter than my old Epson and printing much quieter and much quicker.Switching off is quicker with none of the noise previously enjoyed. We are very pleased with the print quality so far. Documents look really professional and colour printing, the small amout done so far,is excellent. The self adjusting hinge on the lid, which allows thicker documents to be scanned,is a useful addition. I am unable to comment on the cost of printing not having replaced the ink cartridges so far. The MP190 looks good, works well, and at the price, what more could you ask for ?

Cheap but extrememly cheerful!
This all in one Canon product is an absolute bargain at around £40. It operates quietly and smoothly and was a breeze to set up and install on my Vista PC.
Just amke sure you have a USB cable to hand when you amake this purchase as one wasn't included in the package, but that's pretty much standard practice in the printer field nowadays.
So an absolte steal at the price. Produces brilliant photo prints too!
