I purchased this about a month ago June 09 and am giving it a 4* because I have not yet used all the functions. It is purely for home use. So far I am pleased with it. One was delivered on time but was faulty and I had a replacement from Amazon within 2 days. Very pleased with that, no quibble.This is to replace two older HPs. So for all my basic printing I am very pleased, not done any photo printing yet.

Very nice printer for the money.
Like the "drop down" flap at the front keeps your paper clean & dust free when not in use.
Easy to use menu.
The only down side I have found.....the instruction book is poor!!

Having used Epson & HP printers in the past, this new Canon model seems to have it all. Build quality is excellent. Ink use seems reasonable, and print quality on all settings is excellent. The scroll wheel takes a bit of getting used to, and the screen text may test the eyesight of many, but these are minor quibbles. Finally, I love the fact the out tray opens on its own - no more crumpled printing because you forgot to open the tray! My first 5* printer rating, based on value for money.

arrived within the stated time, easy to set up (cartridges etc....) only used it to print a4 images at moment so based on that i have had no trouble with it at all.

I am very satisfied with this product. Colours are vibrant and photographs true to original colours. I recall an earlier review observing that it was not possible to scan-to-computer. I have experienced no such problem with the Mac OSX-compatible software supplied with the printer, and the product does all that the manufacturer claims.
