Everything I needed
Produces amazing quality photos (even better than snappy snaps!). I've printed about 90 photos and the ink cartridges are all still full!
Wi-Fi is a great facility. Scanning works a treat, although it took me about a minute to realize that if I wanted to scan in color, I was to press the green "" button! The preview screen is just great. I like how neatly packed everything is, nothing sticking out and just very easy to put away. USB and memory card option is great. Decent printing speed. Very quiet when printing too. And very easy to use (user friendly!).
Drawbacks:
One main drawback is that I can't find away of using any of the features of the printer when my ink cartridges are full. The screen displays a notification for the empty cartridges but doesn't allow you to go into any other menus. There may be a way around this, but I haven't found one yet. And if there isn't, Canon have been very sneaky - The only way to use the printer is if you buy their cartridges!

Just the job
I wanted a printer that worked on a network because I was tired of having to switch on my wife's computer every time I needed to request a print via our wired network. When the old Epson gave up the ghost I decided to investigate Canon printers as they seem to come out on top in independent reviews. I have not been disappointed and so far it has performed impeccably.
The set-up guide appears rather awesome initially but if you read through it and follow the instructions carefully you should have no problem. Attaching anything to a network is often problematic but setting up our two computers to work with the printer through our network was trouble-free.
I haven't tried all the facilities yet (of which there are many) but it produces good quality prints and sends scanned documents to e-mails using easy to follow instructions. One facility I do like is the ability to check the status of the printer from my computer that is situated in a different room from the printer.
Time will tell whether the key indicator, ink usage, is reasonable.

Very Pleased! Worth every penny.
I ordered this printer from Amazon as my old HP was nearly a gonner.
It arrived very quickly, and the set up was fairly straight forward.
One word of caution! be patient when setting up the printer for wireless connecting, make sure that you keep the usb lead connected until "setup successful" is displayed.
As for the printout quality - this printer is brilliant, I have printed out documents and photos and the quality of each is superb!!!!
I am working my way through all of the features and so far this printer is one of the best value for money I've seen...oh don't forget you can use it wirelessly :-).
P.S. It's now under £100.00!!! Well done Amazon.

Beware the Frequently Bought Together Trap
These cartridges may frequently be bought together with the printer, but if they are then there are a lot of irritated people out there (including me), and probably Shima Uma aren't too chuffed either.
The '8' series cartidges are for the MP610 NOT the MP620, bizarre though this may seem. The MP 620 needs 521/520 series cartridges.
I haven't used the printer a lot yet, but the print quality seems superb, and the wireless setup was a lot easier than I anticipated it might be. I'm expecting to be as impressed by this printer as I have been by the other Canon printers I've had, but only time will tell for sure.
