Great item and cheapest price. I set the printer up in less than 1/2 hour and have been able to scan old photographs which can be adjusted and downloaded onto a printable disc via my computer and print directly on the CD a picture or text relating to what is stored on the disc and then filed away, thus saving valuable space on my PC. All in all a great piece of equipment and I am very glad I bought it from Amazon.

Easy to install but can take a long time (5mins) for printer to get ready. Once ready out put is superb

I have recently purchased this all in one printer, scanner and copier and find it excellent for its purpose. Printing and scanning produce good clear copies. Copying is also very good but I haven't used it for the principal purpose that I bought it for, printing photographs but I expect the it's reputation is sufficient for me to get good photos. It is very easy to set up but the only downside as far as I am concerned is that it occupies a lot of my desk due to its size but I can recommend it though as a machine that combines the qualities of a printer and a scanner.

I thought long and hard about a replacement printer not least as my former HP machine proved something of a nightmare and ultimately scrap when I upgraded the OS of my old G3 iMac. My newer Mac (OS 10.5.7) works a treat with the Canon, which is compact, solidly constructed and delivers excellent quality prints. Set-up was, to my mind, remarkably straightforward - and we are talking digital Luddite here! Too early to comment on the cost efficiency of the cartridges or, should the need arise, the effectiveness of Canon's Customer Support. Nonetheless, 'so far, so good' - 'Well done, Canon!' and 'Thank you, Amazon!' - one delighted customer, at least.

This is a great product. Very easy to install; compact printer with clear dial instructions. It is very economical on ink.
Load paper from tray or from the rear.
Highly recommended.
