A Wonderful Sleek Performer

Some may say it's too much packaging ! But one can be forgiven for thinking that the unit will be twice the size you are eventually presented with.
Setting up is a doddle ! I purchased this at the same time as I bought my Panasonic Plasma , so in my case, the units talk to each other and set each other up perfectly. Picture is OUTSTANDING ! through an HDMI lead. Blu Rays look fantastic, skin tones are natural and all the little details are there. Blacks are black and colours seem very natural. Soundn Quality is immersive and has the wow factor through a Home cinema setup.
The only downside that I can think is that you can hear the disc revolving on occassion...There is a definite " tick tick tick " that once you notice is hard to ignore unless you put the volume up !..It does not happen all the time though. I've only played it a few times so maybe it is still "running in"
Regular DVds look spectacular too. My wife, loves it !! I never thought she would ever love the equiment but she does.

(5 out of 5) by Mr. R. Laverick on Sep 16, 2009 (Sunderland)I love my Panasonic DMP-BD35. Very easy to set up. Very easy to update via ethernet cable, using your broadband modem. Robust, user friendly remote. It is not bulky, like other cheaper brands; small and light, and very sleek. The menus are easy to follow. The picture quality is amazing on Blu-ray, and it makes a very efficient job of upscaling ordinary DVDs. I watch a lot of music Blu-rays/DVDs and the stereo sound I experience through my connected Hi-Fi is fantastic, although I can't comment on the audio options as I don't have a surround system. Very happy with this product.
