A very good camera slightly compromised by Canon

Compact, great 6x optical zoom lens, big screen, great image quality, etc. However, Canon have decided that the low end Powershot A series cameras no longer need manual controls, and as such this is mostly a point and shoot camera. The screen also looks like a budget screen as viewing angles aren't very good, and some people think the body feels a bit cheap. For a little bit more money you can get the excellent SX110 IS with more zoom, better screen, and manual controls. If the price of the A2000 drops more than it would be a very appealling budget camera, but at the moment it seems little expensive compared to other cameras.
