Great printer but seems rather thirsty for ink
(4 out of 5) by D. Wong on Jun 22, 2009I bought this printer a couple of weeks ago. Set-up was very easy. A word of caution on the wireless set-up, though, as it requires a connection to the wireless modem, which in my case involved some logistic juggling as my wireless router is in a closet down the hall!
Print quality is very good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the printer speed. The on screen interface is intuitive and easy to use.
My only complaint is that ink use seems rather high. After printing only 20 pages or so of text (mainly in draft mode and grayscale) the black ink cartridge was down by almost 40%! Perhaps I need to check my settings, or maybe just printing in grayscale results in heavier ink use.
Despite the ink use, all in all, though, I would say this is a good, reasonably-priced, all-in-one printer with the added bonus of WIFI.

Excellent value for money,well built and easy to setup. Epson cartriges excellent value for 4 replacements at £21.00 including delivery, the ability to scan to pdf is brilliant making it an excellent office/home tool.

Looks Great but 2 of them failed and had to be returned

When it came time to replace the ink cartridges it refused to print anything. Went through all the motions but didn't manage to place any ink on the paper. Returned to Amazon for a replacement and exactly the same thing happened with the second printer. Spent over £60 on ink and head cleaning for no results.. returned for a refund. AMAZON were PERFECT with customer service though..

(4 out of 5) by S. Harrold on Mar 12, 2009Had this printer for a couple of months now. So far, so good! It was relatively easy to install. However, we did have problems getting the fax to work. We ended up having to add a filter to the fax line which resolved the problem. Print quality/speed is very good and its easy to use - just make sure you read the instruction manual properly. Its also a very nice looking piece of equipment. The ink usage is fair as well - I'm still using the cartridges that came with the printer!
