You need to buy a USB to connect to your computer!

(4 out of 5) by Ms. J. W. Kelly on Jun 16, 2009
The printer is easy to install and prints well. What I didn't know, and what wasn't stated, is that you have to buy a USB to connect the printer to your computer.

**** Outstanding Unit ******

(5 out of 5) by Mr. C. Brittain on Nov 25, 2009 (UK)
With an ageing scanner and Epsom 980 printer on its way out I thought why not have an all in one unit. I've heard various statements about how vulnerable they can be, however this unit came in at a very reasonable price. Once unpacked the install process was simple and quick.
We have had it for around three weeks and can honestly say that this is a fine unit with great facilities. We have no hesitation in recommending this all in one unit. The printing is very realistic in terms of colour and whilst it might not be the quickest (why hurry things) it is in our opinion one of the quietest. One of the concerns we had was how much printing we would get from the really thin cartridges. We have printed 45 A4 full page calenders with many sheets of text and image documents and still have half the capacity of the supplied cartridges. Ink usage therefore is looking like being quite good. I would agree with Dave's comments above about getting the most out of the slim cartridges.
The scanner is another quiet and efficient facility and produces very good scans from documents to photographs. One of the best things we have found is the extremely eficent OCR work, boy has that come on. I can recall OCR when it was first introduced and the really poor results returned. I have found the OCR to compatible with almost all documents with around 96% accuracy.
To cut a long story short, you will be hard pushed to find a better unit than this especially at this price. Don't be put off thinking that at such low prices you are skipping on quality as that simply does not apply here.

Incredible value for money

(5 out of 5) by J. Thoas on Jun 22, 2009 (UK)
Arrived on time, within 30 minutes it was operational. And what operation! Beautiful printing, simple scanning and at very high resolution (I have some very old family photos on which I can now see details beautifully) together with high quality copying. This must be one of the best home all-in-ones on the market.
Note: it comes with a (very) short usb cable - fortunately I had a longer one so could place the machine where I wanted it. At this price I didn't expect a wireless connection - and if you have file sharing on your main PC you don't really need it.

The scanner printer EpsonBX300f was everything I wanted, it arrived quick
and for me who is not particularly techno minded I soon set it up and had it up an running, usually get my daughters to do this, so felt pretty proud of myself. I am more than pleased with it it does what is says on the tin and cannot fault it or the service. Thank you.

Good but slow

(4 out of 5) by I. Sturt on May 22, 2009 (UK)
Bought this product to replace a thermal paper fax. For the price it is remarkable. A big plus for me is the sheetfeed scanner and the scanning software that ships with it. This makes scanning multiple pages to various formats, including pdf with selectable text, simple and quick.

Only note of caution. The printer is slow. It is good, but it is slow. I would not want to have it as my only printer because of the speed but if you don't print much that shouldn't put you off.

Typical Epson convenience although for some reason paper loading is more fiddly than normal. Make sure you place the printer somewhere you can easily reach the back.
