ok for what it does

Screen is way to small to use effectivley, you have to put it on hold as it starts on its own and it is hard to shutdown, if you let go of the button too soon it restarts. For the older user I would recommend something with a square bigger screen.

having only just got 'with it', this is my 1st mp3 player. so far so good. charged it up and downloaded all my songs. took a while to figure out how to transfer them but actually its probably quite simple really. just took me a while. sound is good quality, but i'm not a fan of these types of earphones. generally very please with it so far.

Excellent MP3 Player

(4 out of 5) by S. A. Challener on May 2, 2009 (Surrey, UK)
This is my first MP3 player and I am extremely pleased with it although I obviously cannot make comparisons with other players. It is simple to transfer files to it as it plugs directly into a computer USB port without needing a lead. Drag and drop and syncing both work perfectly. The sound quality is good both with the earphones and plugging into my HiFi.

My only quibble is that unless the screen saver is turned off, it cuts in before the complete song details can be read. It would also be better if the screen saver could be turned off with a button press that didn't do any other operation.

Sony MP3 2GB Player

(5 out of 5) by Christine Gale on Jun 8, 2009 (London, England)
I needed something to replace my "Tape Cassette" player that I use at my bedside for late night listening to Comedy shows and Dramas. This seemed to be the ideal format as it appeared to be easy to store the Files and then listen to seleted programmes without running continously through all the Files. I estimate that I can get around 60 X 30 minute programmes on the 2GB memory. It can also "Fast Forward" and "Rewind" to the exact position of the programme that I need to start from. I am planning on taking it away on holiday although I don't yet know how long it will play without a "Charge"
A really wonderful purchase.
