Great for "point & shoot" but enough easily accessed options for the more adventurous photographer. Good controls. 7x zoom works well and is much more useful than x3. The picture quality is excellent. Has no viewfinder, the LCD is large and bright enough for most circumstances but very bright sunlight will beat it. Battery life reasonable - probably about 200 pictures using flash & zoom fairly frequently. Best to get a second battery but Olympus batteries can be difficult to source. Charger is small & light. PC Software OK if you like that sort of thing. Comprehensive, searchable Operating Manual on CD.
