Bluenext are one to a winner here
My first sad tale of woe with this device was that it worked only two weeks before dying (refused to pair with anything), leaving a question mark over build quality. I awarded it one star in my initial review.
I've decided to have a go with another unit. This has been going for 3 weeks now (touch wood) and hence I'm amending my initial 1 star review based on my experience with this working unit.
Firstly the killer feature of this gadget is its size, it is several orders of magniude smaller than any powered makes on the market. It clips unobstrusively to the bottom of your Ipod Touch/Iphone, and due to its size can be used when the Touch/Iphone is in a case. This is brilliant as I regularly use it on the ago, with my Touch in a case attached to my belt.
Sound quality is nice and I've regularly received uninterrupted sound through my headphones (Jabra BT620s) up to 15 metres away. The sound degrades if walls are in the way, but this is a feature of all Bluetooth transmitters.
Sound quality is great, as it supports A2DP and AVRCP profiles, you can ffwd, rew, pause (through the currently selected playlist - defaults to alphabetical song list), vol +/- etc using your headphones.
You should also be able to take calls automatically (muting the music) if you use it with an Iphone and compatibile Bluetooth headphones - I haven't tested this latter function as I don't have an Iphone.
The unit owes it small size due to the fact that it draws power from the Touch/Iphone. My Touch typically lasts around 6 hours (music) per charge. I've noticed the battery life is just short of 4 hours with this unit attached. A small sacrifice for the convenience it gives. I've now ditched my Jabra A125S powered transmitter and use this exclusively.
The only minor gripe is that sometimes it is very finicky about establishing a link to already paired headphones. I've found that it is usually best to switch the headphones on first and then attach the unit to the powered on ipod/iphone. On one other occasion it lost the pairing completely and i had to re-pair. Other than these glitches it is has given exemplary performance.
Unfortunately it appears I cannot change the number of stars in my initial rating. Hopefully this was one of a bad batch. I believe Bluenext are on to a winner here expecially now the price is below 9 pounds. If I could have I would now award it 5 stars.

Junk
Okay, it may not be total junk for people who have it working.
I have an iPod Video "5.5G" and got nothing out of this dongle, no flashing lights nothing.
A closer inspection of the "manual" reveals that:
"BN02/BN02B can only pair with iPhone, iPod classic, touch, Nano II/III (not iPod/iPod video and Nano I)"
Well that's helpful information that really should be on the product page, don't ya think? (or perhaps I'm just blind)
My other iPod is a 1st gen Nano, double- d'oh!

Fantastic item for iphone 3g
I have received this item just berfore christmas and it has opened up the world to my iphone. I recently purchased the venturer mini which allows streamed music and hands-free bluetooth over the in-car speakers wirelessly. Unfortunately the iphone will not allow connection to A2DP products. This dongle does it perfectly and is the best priced one on the market.
No problems whatsoever, just plug the dongle into the base of the iphone and off you go. Fantastic.

Beware
BAD NEWS. Bought one of these "fits all ipods" NO! Fitted to mine,(video iPod, not mentioned in any list even of Apple, all "classic"). dead as a Norwegian Blue Parrot! Did everything I could think of to bring it to life, without success. Was it a faulty unit to go back?
GOOD NEWS.The wife has an iPhone, fitted it,instant operation immediately paired with her headphones. So am in good books there.
Still looking for Bluetooth dongle for iPod, the wife has a Sony which works so I will have to buy one of those and spend a bit more money. But as they say you gets what you pay for.

Works with iphone 3G
BlueNext Bluetooth Stereo Adaptor Works well with Iphone as a transmitter to Jabra 620s speakers when playing music. The music quality is very good. Unfortunately I cannot receive/answer calls via the speakers when listening to music despite the iphone showing that it is paired with the Jabra 620s headphones. I am disappointed with that hence 3 stars unless Iam doing something wrong.
