(5 out of 5) by Mr. P. Wiggan on Nov 14, 2008 (Somerset, UK)
This sweet cute pocketable mp3 is very handy and useful, here are the following good and 1 or 2 bad points of the mp3...

Good Points:
-It's got good space..i think i have about 17hrs worth of music on there!
-Small and cute =]]
-You can change the background of it
-There is random(shuffle) and repeat avaible
-The battery life is good of what i've seen on other reviews it's like 30 hours i think?
-The earphones are pretty good but the best but standard..you can live with them
-There is Fm radio
-Volume level pretty high and loud
-Reset button
-After a few minutes of fiddling about the buttons are easy to use
-Speaker is good to have!
-Price goood!

Now for 2 or 3 bad points
-Buttons are small for people with large fingers
-It froze up when i put it on charge, but this is easy to fix just press the reset button(located the left side round the corner from the usb jack)
-No wall charger comes with the package

All in all this lil neat deal for one amazin mp3 is amazing!

Btw use the reset button don't try to open the mp3 out of it's case like i did!!
USE RESET BUTTON!

Creative Zen Mozaic 4gb March 2009

(5 out of 5) by Julie on Apr 10, 2009 (Brighton)
This is great - fantastically small - great sound - and so easy my husband had it figured out in minutes. The programme that comes with it is great and you can put whole albums on it in about a minute!!

Excellent little player

(5 out of 5) by hedonistic_future on Jan 2, 2009 (Norwich, UK)
Having wanted an mp3 player for absolutely ages and not wanting to conform to the masses by buying an iPOD, I opted for a Creative Zen Mozaic 4GB. I was initially attracted to it by its unique design, and when I unpacked it this morning I wasn't disappointed.

The mp3 player fits into the palm of my hand nicely, being small and compact (and I have very small hands!!). I am not a fan of touch buttons, prefering something you can actually press. Thus, the buttons on this mp3 player please me greatly as they are very responsive and despite having somewhat "fat" fingers and the buttons being quite small I can operate it perfectly fine. The casing is not shiny and I am confident it will resist scratches much better than the iPOD. I will however be purchasing the case accessory as I would like to keep it safe all the same. As well as this, the screen is large with an excellent display and everything can be viewed at optimum quality.

The music quality is superb and I was surprised by the quality of the speaker on the back, even when loud it is clear and not tinny. There is a great volume range when using the speaker and the earphones. The player itself is very easy to work, music, pictures and video can be easily accessed and you can make playlists on the mp3 player itself....very handy.

The only disadvantage I would say it has is the software that comes with it, Creative Centrale. Now that I have got the hang of it, I can operate it fine with no problems and it is very efficient, although it did take a little time this morning to figure out how to transfer music over!!

In addition to this, it is important to note that as this player only comes with a usb charger, you cannot charge it up from a mains socket. However you can buy an adpater for about a tenner so not too bad.

All in all I am very happy with my Creative Zen Mozaic and think for its modest price this is an excellent alternative to the iPOD!!

Very good MP3 player - much better value for money than the leading brand

(5 out of 5) by Tony Woodhouse on Aug 2, 2009 (Rugby - England)
Brilliant little MP3 player. I bought the 8GB model for my wife eight months ago and have just bought myself this 4GB version. It is packed with really useful features that make it a much better player than many.
* FM radio for when you're bored of your own tunes
* Speaker - great for when you're in the bath or shower (or if you're a kid, hanging round the shops at night time)
* White headphones - if you hide the player in your pocket, your mates will think you forked out twice as much money for an iplayer.
* Rip and Synch with the included Creative Centrale software or direct from Windows Media Player.
* "DJ" facility gives you quick access to playlists such as "Highly rated", "Album of the Day", "Haven't heard recently" which are good to listen to.
* Standard USB connector means you can charge with standard in car adapter or mains adapter and hook up to your PC with the same wire you use for other peripherals.
* Can display pictures, videos, has an alarm clock, organiser, recording facility and contacts book (I don't use any of this, but someone might).
* Menu system is intuitive and easy to use.
* Looks nice
* Sound quality is good - when played through a proper stereo system the music is deep and rich with no noise or hum etc. It's basically as good as the files you rip. The bundled headphones are mediocre, but not bad. The inbuilt speaker is tinny, but what do you expect for a tiny little speaker - it's still easily better than most MP3 capable mobile phones can manage.

There are a few downsides:-
* Creative Centrale software seems to crash a lot (others report the same on other review sites) - I just use Windows Media Player myself.
* Buttons are quite small with tiny faint symbols on them - if you need glasses to read, you might struggle.
* Ability to create playlists on the move is a little limited
* Autoscan facility on FM radio doesn't pick up many channels - it only saves the very strongest signals (for me 3 stations) and I had to manually tune in the other 10 or so stations that I could receive adequately in my area.

Overall though, this player definitely deserves five stars because it is great value for money, solid, robust and feature rich. I'd happily buy another if mine ever broke.

Buyer Beware

(2 out of 5) by MGB on Aug 10, 2009 (UK)
The product itself is fine, especially for the price. However there is a major sofware flaw which means that the device will not be recognised on PCs running Windows Media player 11 and XP. I wasted several hours trying to get this running, including downloading the latest software from the Creative site and trying fixes suggested by the many other people who had had similar problems. I gave up eventually and loaded the sofware on to my wife's laptop which has Windows Vista and it worked fine. You'd have thought that Creative would have recognised and solved this bug by now.
