Excellent HI-FI System

(4 out of 5) by Miss Tuhina Mitra on Sep 3, 2008 (London, England)
I have just received this product 2/9/08 and it's very good. However don't be fooled as it DOES NOT record CD's to the USB port. On Amazon it doesn't state Sony's model number, so to my surprise when I received the box the model code was on the front and it said CMT-EH25, the same as the third party that is also sold on Amazon website and they are selling it at £77.00!!! However again don't be fooled as it DOES NOT record CD to your MP3 player, however if you analyse the photos of this HI-FI system from the third party there is an extra button on the front - not sure what that does as it's the same model to the one I have just received?
There is no recording function either on the remote or on the HI-FI system. I had even check with Sony head office and have been informed there are no recording function for CMT-EH25.

Packing was excellent with its thin sheets of Polythene, but I do miss the bubble wrap to pop - (yes how old am I). The actual system and speakers are very small which sits perfectly on a kitchen table or in a corner of a room. Everything about this product is cute and petite. Sound is good but there is no equalizer where you can adjust the sound, it gives you categories to choose, but there is a bass button which is standard.

Surprisingly this little Mini Hi-FI system is very loud once your crank it up even to mid way which is brilliant. As for the USB function, make sure it's a plug in MP3 player and NOT through an adapter connecting to your MP3 player. Old Granny here has the old fashion MP3 player, which is not compatible with the system. Not very happy about that.

Overall very pleased with its price and sound quality.Excellent value for money. I can hear the music everywhere!

Best micro system I've ever heard

(5 out of 5) by Ms. N. Taylor on Feb 2, 2009 (UK)

Ok, that is quite a statement, but I am so darned impressed. Also, I never right reviews for things, but this item is so good that I had to share it.

Having had many many micro systems over the years, and my folks trying to get the right one with the best balance of size and sound, this machine has made my day!

Firstly, its sexy, the dark wood, and sleek face really look good. Just stuck in a CD (Gotan Project by the by) and it plays beautifully! I am now only worried that the neighbours will start complaining.

Teensy bummer, doesn't come with batteries for the remote, so grab a pack of those. Normal AA.

Buy it! Its great! And enjoy.

Credit Crunch 3 in 1

(5 out of 5) by A. Batura on Feb 24, 2009 (London, UK)
Excellent value for money, I was considering buying an Ipod and external speakers but this does a lot more of much less, the only downside is lack of mobility as compared to Ipod while on the upside you get a CD player & Radio while digital music is via USB. Very good sound quality and fits in perfectly in a small corner at home. Would certainly recommend it.

a great little machine

(5 out of 5) by Redwytch on Sep 20, 2009 (London UK)
Am pleasetly surpised by this stero, for such small peice of kit it produces a great sound, the controls are really easy to use and the remote is very useful, its not the highest end stero, but for what you pay its really good, ideal for a bedroom or spare room.

Great little Hi-Fi

(5 out of 5) by Geoffrey Richardson on Jun 4, 2009 (Co Durham, England)
Purchased this product to replace a stacker unit in my study, free up a bit of space and enable MP3 through the system, it does the business and has excellent sound quality also has good looks, audio input is a nice little extra, USB, I still need to figure out it's full potential, all round a cracking little system.
