Good Apple power supply

Lile on Nov 14, 2009Having been a Mac user for 20 years I'm used to paying 'top dollar' for Apple products so I was impressed by the the quality of the genuine Apple product with orange/green neon indicator lights on the input plug, an excellent price and a speedy delivery (ordered Saturday night - delivered Tuesday morning!) There were some slightly cheaper 3rd party products but reading other peoples reviews of these products reinforced my decision to stick with Apple.

Plug has broken within one month

It has not been abused, dropped, squashed or suffered any other mal treatment. The original PSU lasted for 4 years before breaking. As the supplier of this product turned out to be a nightmare to deal with, I think my chances of getting it replaced are slim.

(3 out of 5) by Mrs A.M.C. Pettitt on Apr 15, 2009This is not the first time I've bought this product and as yet I've not had need to use the item as a replacement, its there for when the current one falls apart, and it will soon!!!!!! However what I can say is that the Amazon service is 1st class.
My only complaint is not with Amazon but with manufacturers as, I know from my previous two experiences, there is a weakness in the cable where the adapter connects with laptop, it bends and breaks far too easily.
Amazon on the other hand do what they say.

No extension section, but a good cheap adapter.

A couple of down sides; firstly, my cable needs a small twist once it's in the laptop to get the light on and begin charging. It fits snuggly enough, it just needs that little twist for some reason. And secondly, the charger doesn't come with the original long extension section. Overall though, a good cheap replacement for my old charger.

This power supply works and I've saved enough money that I don't feel like a complete idiot - third power supply in four years.
