Quality, functional and reliable

(5 out of 5) by Mo on Dec 3, 2009 (London)
I have come to appreciate Logitech makes quality products and worth paying extra for. I had to replace my Mac mouse with a mouse which is simple and will work flawlessly. Straight out of the box this is a cracker of a product. The contents of the box - Wireless receiver, USB extension for receiver, mouse and batteries. No software needed as it is plug and play. The mouse is comfortable to use due to its ergonomic design, both left hand and right hand users can use this without problems. This laser feature is useful. its not a laser pointer, rather it is using laser technology to instead of optical technology as the tracker. I really like the material they have used for the base. It is like Teflon, the mouse glides smoothly across work surfaces.
Worth buying even if you have a desktop, Mac or a laptop - highly recommended mouse.

Handy Extra

(5 out of 5) by D. Grundy on Dec 3, 2009 (UK)
This mouse is the perfect companion for your laptop. The antenna is so small you don't even notice it and there is little chance of knocking it and breaking it. The mouse itself is a nice balance for easy use and just small enough to fit in your bag. Logitech have got it right once again.

Perfect

(5 out of 5) by M. Vernon on Nov 30, 2009 (UK)
This mouse is fantastic. It's just small enough but not to small. The USB tranmitter on the other hand is so small it doesn't need to be removed before my laptop goes in my bag. Great for travelling. Haven't found a surface the mouse doesn't work on. If I could configure the wheel to double click when pressed then it would be 100% rather than 99%

Great mouse

(4 out of 5) by M. Browne on Nov 29, 2009
Very happy with this mouse. Very responsive. Connector stays in my netbook all the time. It's just a bit heavier than what I'm used to, as I always used a wired mouse with no batteries. But very comfortable to use, just a little extra weight when travelling.

Build quality issues

(2 out of 5) by Funkypeace on Nov 21, 2009 (UK)
Initially thought that this mouse was excellent, but after less than two months of light use the palm plate has developed a looseness and it rattles in an annoying fashion. I see other reviewers have suffered the same issues. This suggests poor build quality akin to a five quid mouse, not something one would expect on a mouse stated to have a RRP of 35pounds - and certainly not something one should expect to have to put up with! (Up till when the rattle started I was impressed by the ergonomics and quality feel of this mouse and in most other respects it is good. However, the left clicker and right clicker also rattle in a poor quality fashion when lifting off. I could have lived with this, but not the palm plate rattle as well).

I have emailed Logitech to seek a resolution; hoping that they efficiently replace it for me, without making me go without a mouse for a protracted period. Now to test the quality of Logitech's Customer Service, a service which I hoped never to have to rely on. Frustrating sap on a person's time. Don't let my review put you of an otherwise decent product, just be warned - I hope you do not suffer the same problems. Will update this review if Logitech succinctly replace.

As an aside, to correct a previous reviewer, the wireless niblet receiver sticks approx 8mm (not 2cm/20mm).
