Firstly lets do the colour thing: the red is deep and metalic and looks great! Don't be afraid to get this colour...much better than boring silver or black.

Now to the operation; it's nice and accurate and a good size and as long as your hands aren't huge - it's very comfortable as is mid-way between a full size mouse and the small mice that are often used for corporate 'give-aways'.

The software lets you configure the operations of the left/right click and the centre wheel which has it's own centre click as well as left/right lean function. Even the wheel scroll function can be changed/configured.

I particularly like the 'nano' receiver as it really is so small you can leave it in the laptop all the time - I had the last version of this mouse and its receiver was too big to leave in and started to wear with constant use. Just for the record I sold the old one when I saw my mate with this one! The range is reasonable too, I now use it for presentations.

Downsides? My last one had a little case and this model doesn't; the battery door isn't exactly engineered like a Lexus either but that is being really picky. Neither are enough to stop me giving it 5 stars.

The bottom line: don't curse your track-pad, get one of these!!!

The USB is so little that you do not even know it is there. It is very comfortable to handle and works on any surface even on your lap, leg side, sofa, etc. Any position. If I would have known about it before, I would have bought it much earlier. Worth value for money.

Really happy with this mouse. It looks very nice, it's well designed with very good ergonomics and rubber grips on either side, the receiver is tiny, I can't detect any significant lag and the range is excellent, and it seems to work great on any surface.

edit: Actually after owning the mouse for a little longer now I would knock it down to 4 stars because when you click the mouse wheel you almost always get the left mousewheel click as well, so instead of having forwards/back on the mousewheel sideways clicks I've had to disable those functions and I'm back to a 3 button mouse. Amazon won't let me edit the score btw.

THIS MOUSE IS GREAT, WORKS FANTASTIC ACCORDING TO MY WIFE, AS I BOUGHT IT FOR HER NEW LAPTOP. SHE LIKED THE COLOUR, THE SIZE AND HOW SMOOTH IT WAS ON VIRTUALLY ANY SURFACE, BUT BEST OF ALL WAS THE FACT SHE DIDN'T HAVE THIS STICK AS SHE PUT IT STICKING OUT OF THE SIDE OF HER LAPTOP, AS THE RECEIVER IS SO SMALL, WHICH IS WHY THEY CALL IT NANO! THE PRICE WAS VERY GOOD SO I WAS PLEASED AS WELL, AS WAS VERY MUCH CHEAPER THAN THE USUAL RETAILERS. IT ALSO WAS PLUG AND PLAY AS THEY SAY, BUT I HAVE BEEN UNLUCKY WITH SO MANY PLUG AND PLAY DEVICES BEFORE THIS WAS GREAT.

Fantastically responsive mouse, on any surface, including my knee.The nano usb transmitter is tiny (there's a clue in the name), so small that I keep it plugged in the laptop and it stil slides into its skin easily.Batteries last forever, nearly.Bought my wife one I was so impressed.Really.
