Brilliant value for money

(5 out of 5) by C. Murphy on Feb 23, 2009 (London, UK)
This is brilliant value for money as Sony are selling the MP3 player alone for over £100 in their shops.

It now uses Windows Media Player instead of sonic stage which is a lot easier & you automatically get the album artwork. The battery life is great. The only downsides are that you can't set up a playlist through the MP3 player you have to use Windows Media Player & there's no trash can like on earlier MP3s so you can only delete through Media Player but other than that this is a great MP3 player.

The Wireless Speaker is great to, the sound is great & it looks great.

I would definately recommend it.

Excellent Build and Sound Quality

(5 out of 5) by N. J. Ellam on Feb 12, 2009 (Congleton, UK)
The player quality is fabulous, with easy to use menus and superb sound quality.
I was aware that the bluetooth headphones were not supplied in this bundle and have managed to source a pair on a well known auction site. These haven't arrived yet so I have only used the supplied in ear phones and the speakers.
I am not a great fan of in ear phones as I find them uncomfortable. Nevertheless the Sony ones do sound good, much better than those supplied with my previous MP3 player.
The speakers were an eye opener. For their sizw, the sound is very good with a suprising amount of bass, but a little short on treble. They will be great for hoidays or the odd barbeque (if we ever get the weather!)
All in all a great deal for the price with no compromise on quality.
I also purchased the Sony bluetooth transmitter/receiver Sony HWSBTA2W Bluetooth Transmitter/Receiverso that I can listen through my HiFi. Again, this works well, but I agree with other reviewers that the connection range is limited. I have had no problems with volume which is more than adequate. Listening through the HiFi confirms the quality of the player.
I also purchased the leather case for the player. BodyGuard Sony Walkman NWZ-A820 Series Luxury Leather Case This is well made and works well, but it does make the already small player controls more awkward to use, especially the bluetooth button and the hold slider switch. This is only a minor niggle and is worth it for the protection that the case provides.

Review of Sony Walkman NWAZ 828 package

(5 out of 5) by Louden W. Masterton on Apr 24, 2009 (Bedfordshire, UK)
This is an excellent player. I've had three MP3 players before [Creative, Samsung and Philips] and this delivers by far the best sound. The supplied in-ear headphones are also better than many others that I've encountered bundled with a player

The Amazon package with this player also included a Sony Bluetooth speaker set, which works very well - and the total cost of the whole deal was £20 or so less than I have recently seen the MP3 unit alone offered at!

All-in-all, both for performance and value for money, I can't give the deal less than five out of five.

Top Quality Products

(5 out of 5) by M. G. Harrington on Mar 9, 2009 (UK)
This MP3 player has excellent sound quality (in-ear bud earphones or bluetooth headphones which I purchased separately), plenty of storage capacity, intuitive controls, simple software and the deal with blue tooth speakers was frankly too good a deal to turn down.

It is lightweight fits in a medium sized hand well and the recommended leather 'sleeve' allows all the controls to be freely accessed.

Just about the best MP3 player and accessory deal on the planet!

Its amazing what Sony does to your MP3's

The Bad:
Didn't come with bluetooth earphones.
It seems to struggle when copying lots of music in one go, or when moving files around on the device from a PC...a disconnect and reconnect seems to sort it though.
Shame it doesn't have a standard mini-usb connector which means you'll have to remember to take the Sony one with you for charging etc..

The Excellent:
Build quality is superb - the buttons are a quality, positive feel.
Display is large, bright and clear - menu system is a doddle to pick up, and use.
Sound quality is fantastic and blows all my previous MP3's out of the water (Phillips, Sandisk, Creative, Archos). You will be amazed how different (and better) your music sounds with the supplied in-ear phones and a couple of tweaks to the custom equaliser !
It goes pretty loud as well - just make sure AVLS is turned off.
The included bluetooth speaker is pretty good, though I wouldn't say it shows the player off to its fullest. Very handy thing to take on holiday though as it'll run off batteries as well as mains.

All in all highly recommended...you'll hear things in your music that you've never noticed before !
