Charges unit only

They charge the unit perfectly and the mains one is a good idea, but who wants to charge the unit in the car and not use it? My original manufacturers lead charged while operating, but a genuine replacement cost a lot more than this. Overall a good buy if you only want to charge the batteries but do not think it is a replacement for an original lead.

a must if you not in the car

Normally you wuldnt need it, because you can charge your device through the USB cable from your PC;
However if you want to travel somewhere leaving your car and computer at home but still would like to have the convenience of a "local map of a foreign town at your fingertip" - then the mains charger comes extremely handy.

does not work

Useless and a waste of money!

good service poor quality goods
(1 out of 5) by Mr. A. Anderson on Jul 29, 2009 (Scotland)Should not have expected a lot considering price. First car charger came apart on opening pack. Poor quality goods and although it fits Garmin Nuvi connector is srtaight fit unlike original which is at 90 degrees making it difficult to fit.
