Fantastic Hardware, shame about the software

I got this product because I was sick of the issues I was having with my on-board sound. I was some what dubious about whether a real sound-card would be distinguishable from the on-board but having got the card it really is.

The sound quality of this card is fantastic. The build quality of the parts is good. I find the front panel really useful, as I can plug my headset in, and when I wish to use the speakers on my system I simply unplug the headphone jack from the front and it automatically switches to speakers. The front volume controls can be handy mid game too.

The bad side is wrestling with the Creative software/drivers to get the thing working properly. This certainly requires some patience but once it is done everything runs OK. It is certainly not a cheap option either.

Excellent product

I never better sound quality then before. Would recommend using these with Logitech Z-5500 speakers or Creative Fatal1ty headphones. Its an excellent combination. Its worth every penny.
