OK, not brilliant

The package arrived and everything needed was included however, one of them was faulty. Either nothing happened or all the LEDs just flashed. Amazon's return system worked flawlessly however this now meant wasted time waiting for the replacement then collection of the duff item as well as faffing around with a duff unit.
Once working, I did a speed check. House is a reasonable sized 3 bed semi and I am running between ground and first floor. I can't get faster than 12Mb. I doubt that I ever will and this is no faster than the wireless system it replaces - in fact during operation (they are being used to connect a media player to a NAS device), response times are slower.
Anyway, the box said 200Mb which is interesting as they connect to my gigabit switch at 100M - not sure how you are going to squeeze 200Mb out of that.
Ultimately, I can say that they work but not as fast as I would have hoped or as advertised. My recommendation is therefore only to use if wireless is not an option, other than that, run a cable.
Nice idea but not there yet.

Easy to use and faultless so far

I bought this because it was the cheapest AV (i.e. 200MBps) I could find. I'm not really a fan of Belkin electronics as there is usually something better, quicker or cheaper but in this case it did exactly what it said on the tin. Took a couple of minutes to connect and it was all done. Our wiring is not the simplest in the world as it is a mix of old and new but it worked straight off. Not sure of the speed I'm getting but I'm only using 54MBps wireless at the remote end and it seems really reliable.

Great Product

This does exactly what it says on the tin, a great alternative to wireless networking, its pretty fast, its never lost my connection like sometimes wireless does and its sleek and discreet.

My only gripe is that when you attach the 3 pin mains plug to it (like in the picture) its upside down when you connect it to the mains, its not like the picture where the unit faces down with the ethernet wire comming off it.

Excellent Purchase

This was an excellent buy. Does exactly what it proclaims to do. I did have to manually insert the network settings on my Macbook because I previously connected wirelessly - not forgetting to turn off the Airport connection. Speeds as good as on my cabled iMac which is much closer to the router. The mains cable extension is a bonus.

Excellent piece of kit

I have had these adapters installed for a while and the speed connected directly to my Netgear modem has been excellent. Its as if the computer is wired directly through a LAN cable, I havent been able to detect any slowness.

When its been connected downstairs and further away, the speed drops just a touch, but is still very impressive. More impressive than wireless could ever be.

Highly recommended.
