Frankly this amp is superb. In performance terms it's better than I'd hoped and it's excellent value for money. You'll need to spend a lot more to hear any significant improvement and for your average living room it's more than powerful enough.

I've got a PS3, DVD (digital 5.1) and an old Sky box (stereo) attached and they all sound great. The PS3 in particular comes to life with both blu-ray and games sounding good enough to make you jump with surprise. The DVD player is as good and even plain old stereo from Sky sounds much improved. This is using Yamaha's very reasonably priced NS-P110 speakers - also recommended.

You'll need to buy cables for attaching your devices to the amp (such as HDMI and optical cables) as these are not included. It's also worth noting the HDMI ports are for video only - you'll need a separate cable for audio. I got some good quality speaker wire too - how much this improves the sound I'm not sure, but by cutting it to the length I wanted reduced clutter behind the amp/tv.

If you're thinking getting a 5.1 system for a number of devices but don't want to spend a fortune I can't recommend this amp (and the NS-P110 speakers) highly enough.

I have recieved this product on time but was shipped without an adapter plug, when trying to buy an adapter to use with this product was informed that it is dangerous to use adapters for long term use! Tried to contact Pixmania without success by both phone and email even though I sent email via the Amazon website! I have bought many item from Amazon without issue but this company is awful will not be buying from them again! The AMP looks fine it is just very frustrating that I am unable to get it to work and the adapter plugs although not very expensive I am worried about using them long term! This product should NOT be sold in the UK wiothout being converted for UK use!

this is a fantastic amp for its price range.
i was lucky enough to go in to my local comet ,and was demonstrated in house.
then i found this on amazon so because i knew its potential i brought it.

Well after seeing lots of reviews I chose this as my first amp to hook up with my HD tv, PS3 and Virgin Media V+ box and am really impressed. easy to setup, lots of inputs and outputs and loads of features. The sound quality is fantastic, when I tested with Empire Strikes Back in surround sound I was blown away and it brought a big smile to my face!

Good value for a decent entry level amp.
