Good but you have to watch the same channel as your recording - whats the point in that?

Not noisy - a good recorder - a bit to complicated really

You have to watch the same channel as your recording - whats the point in that?

I had to rig in another free view box so i can change channel when recording - NO TWIN TUNER????? WHAT A CHEAP LET DOWN ON AN OTHERWISE GREAT BOX!!!

So far, the HDD DVD recorder has done everything that we have asked of it. We have recorded programmes either directly to hard drive or directly to DVD. Also dubbed programmes from the hard drive onto a DVD. Plays back DVDs just fine. Haven't used its many other features yet. Only criticism would be that the instruction booklet is not easy to follow and feels like it has been literally translated from Japanese rather than written by an English speaking technical author.

Excellent HDD / DVD player

This player arrived within 2 days of purchase (thanks Amazon!). It was easy to set up and this took around 15 mins from opening the box to having it working fully. The TV had no problem recognising the HDD / DVD player. It took a while, however, to work out how to connect the PS3 to the TV via the HDD / DVD. This was not immediately obvious but a little playing around sorted this out relatively quickly. I have not yet tested out the recording functionality but will do in the next day or so.
