Great Speaker dock
Got one of these for Christmas and I am not disappointed. Good sound and easy to use. For those interested it works fine with my second generation ipod touch and it also charges it. I have generally found Logitech kit to be of good quality and well designed and this is no exception, I am even thinking of getting one for the kitchen to replace another speaker dock. I use it in my bedroom as its an alarm clock.
There are two alarms which can be used with either the ipod, radio or standard beep type alarm. If you wave your hand over the top of the device you can start the snooze function which can also be adjusted, the device will also light up when you do this as it has motion detection.
The remote is excellent and very useful. The radio also has RDS.
I cannot think of any cons for it and would highly recommend getting one!

Great sound, warning on Nano 4G, iPhone 3G
Received this last week and unpacked yesterday. After a long search both in brick 'n mortar and online stores chose the Pure-Fi Dream and I'm not disappointed. The sound is excellent for it's size and gets quite rich and full once easy adjusted of the settings is made.
Was pleasantly surprised to find there's a feature where you can assign playlists on your iPod to numbers on the remote keypad enabling easy playlist switching from the remote. Works very well.
I bought this for its iPhone 3G compatibility, not many dock speakers have this feature. However of the 13 included dock inserts, none is for the iPhone 3G! If you try using the included insert for the original iPhone you get an error on the iPhone3G where it goes into airplane mode and stops playing after 30 sec. Obviously not all the connector pins are in contact when using that insert.
Worse for the Nano 4G (chroma-nano, with accelerometer), none of the dock inserts allow the Nano 4G to sit in the dock at all.
Both models work perfectly without the inserts but obviously the connector pins could be damaged used this way.
Have contacted seller and am hoping to get inserts sent out to me

The best iPod Dock!
The best iPod dock I have used (of many!)
This is an extremely well made, quality item, which is worth every penny. The features which set it aside from other (much more expensive!!) docks are the Artist/Song info relayed to the Logitechs screen, the excellent BACKLIT remote control, and the sound quality, which for an item of this price is exceptional.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending one, and remain very impressed with it (certainly a better iPod dock than my iBlick Radiostation, but without the DAB/WiFi)
I use 3G iPhone, 2G Touch, 120G Classic; using the Classic adaptor allows all my iPods to fit wihout any problems :)
I have no issues with "buzzing" from the PSU, and use the device at my bedside.

Could have been a winner
The good...
Style , good looks, build quality, lots of features, speaker sound quality, ipod compatability, but oh dear...
The bad...
I live in a good reception area and have never had problems with other hifi equipment however, the FM reception of the Pure-Fi Dream is woefully poor and there is no external ariel or connector to plug one in.
The main problem seems to be the housebrick of a power supply unit and cable which cause horrendous FM reception interference. The manual says that ensuring no coiling in the cable will prevent this, it doesn't. Remember the days of balancing on top of the wardrobe to try and find the best place for the TV ariel ? Yes, then you get my point. The PSU and cable also picks up interference when near other electrical items or cables.
I had intended the unit would sit on my bedside table, one of its main uses after all is meant to be as a radio alarm clock however, to recieve a good FM signal and avoid interference I have had to site it on the far side of the bedroom. Consequently I can't read the time on the display and, unless I can get in a good shot with a slipper, cannot activate the motion control function.
Summary...
As a great looking and sounding ipod dock the Pure-Fi Dream ticks all the right boxes, but in this price range so do many others. Unfortunately the combined reception and interference problems take the gloss off what could have been a superb package.
I think for the overall quality and price of this product the inclusion of DAB might have been expected.
If you want an FM radio alarm I would not recommend this unit unless you can guarantee a good reception / interference free site. I think I will probably use the Pure-Fi Dream elsewhere in the house and look for a simple DAB radio alarm.

Very Good Dock / Alarm
Very good sound and functionality. The latest Pure-Fi Dream charges & works well with i-pod Nano 4th gen. The Nano 4G has been in production for a while now - why doesn't Logitech supply a matching dock adaptor? - you have to use the WHITE adaptor supplied with a new Nano. Oh, and the plug in power supply is a brick.
