Superb
I too was a little wary about buying without any reviews but my last LG (RZ17LZ50) gave me 2 years hassle free use, and am only upgrading because its 17" so took the plunge and bought one.
Looks great, brilliant reception on freeview even with a portable ariel, EPG has a video preview window and is very easy to follow. Sound from the hidden speakers is far better than my last one. On the hole picture quality through the non HD freeview channels is good. Looked a little unnatural with a brightly coloured set on one chatshow but everything else was great.
Then I tried my xbox 360 set it to max resolution 1080p and can honestly say I was amazed at the picture quality. Colours look fantastic and warm and no lag whatsoever.
I cant say if this is better than a Sony, but I can say I wouldnt be at all surprised if it was.

Brilliant
After a month without finding any review, I decided to overcome my fears. Quite glad with my instincts. Its an amazing TV with excellent features. The EPG is second to none. Picture and sound quality are great.(better than Sony). High quality product from LG. Life's Good indeed.

Nice telly shame about the quality control
I bought this telly as a kitchen telly to go on the wall. It has a thin bezel and as such takes up little room. The remote control is OK and it is the most sensitive freeeview telly I have had, it picks up all the channels with no dropouts in an area where this is a problem. It reveals the shortcomings of low bandwidth freeview channels very well and some are just awful to watch-but this is no criticism of the set. Picture quality from the set itself in terms of contrast, colour and brightness is excellent. So far 5 stars.
BUT.......................it has one very bright white stuck pixel about 3cm to the left of the middle of the screen which completely spoils the picture as far as I am concerned. Amazon do not appear to have a bad pixel policy but LG's appears less than generous. I suppose I'll just have to live with it.

Fantastic LG 22" TV
Did some research and settled for this TV, best price was from Comet just £225. It replaces the old portable in the bedroom and what a difference - we have been totally amazed at the picture quality which is fantastic. Sound is also good. Connectivity is very good and setup was straight forward - it's a lovely looking compact TV.
Excellent product - just buy one.
