Lovely piece of kit and well worth the money. Doesn`t come with HDMI or optic cable, not really a problem as it comes with a video cable, so anyone wanting to watch a film could do so pretty easily straight from the box, but they are much needed for sky and xbox. It looks really good, a nice blue illuminates from the DVD player when on, the upscaling is very good. The tallboy speakers are easy to put together and are surprisingly clear and loud, the sub is immense, movie`s have never sounded so good, true cinema. The Bluetooth function is nice, using my phone i can just bluetooth my music real time from my phone straight to the unit into 5.1, very nice as saves having to mess around with c.ds. Set up is a case of getting to know the remote and menu, which takes only moments. Easy to use, beautiful sound, looks good and value for money. I`m just glad i bought it.

Good Sound, Needs more function

The Bluetooth is very limited, doesn't like the iphone. Also doesn't go up very loud at max volume, but otherwise good overall sound quality. Only one HDMI port and one optical sound port. Struggles a little when playing newer codec videos like Divx / XVID.

It is very god but the only problem it have is that it cannot play video cd it can only play dvd and audio cd apart from that nothing wrong with it.

Great for the price!

Each speaker type has VERY limited range, the "tall boys" are mid, the center highs, and sub lows. Altogether they sound great, but listening to stereo sources with just the tallboys will leave you wanting.

physical constuction and set is easy enough, but configuring via the setting menu can be a pain. Playing mp3s via usb can be annoying as you have to stop the song your listen to to browse your collection.

The picture quality and sound produced is great for the price. DivX, Xvids and mp3s worked fine for me and the optical in recieves dolby digital (from pc) fine.

As a side note, the speakers sounded very muddy and distorted when i first started using them. It was only after 2 days that they began to shine and after a week they were much better, so there is a "break in" period.

Review of HT TZ315

I ordered this system after a fair bit of reading on the net. This is one of few home cinema systems with 4 tall boy speakers (some have just two!), full 1080p upscaling AND Divx format playing capability via USB (most players in this price range do play Divx but only via discs and play only photo lists/music via USB).I ordered the system via express delivery, and it was prompty at my door, less than 16 hours later! Excellent service from amazon as always!
The system was well packaged-easy to get out of the packaging and very intuitive/quick to assemble-I did it without using the manual. I liked the fact that the speaker wires run outside the tallboy unit assembly, so if you make a mistake (mismatch the colour of the cable vs speaker for ex) its easy to change without having to unscrew the whole unit. The finish is plastic but quite classy looking. Connections and the system itself are of a sturdy build. No cables provided other than one video cable and a radio antenna. Sound and vision are good-what is expected from a system of this price range. Remote is well laid out and easy to use. Bluetooth (although an extra) is easy to use too, and I was able to play songs from my mobile in an instant. The player will play DIVX movie clips straight from a USB stick if its less than 1gb size.
