Having bought this system to appease my two children's love of music and dance, I am pleased by my selection. It was a breeze setting up, with everything colour coded and neatly packaged. The design of the speakers and the main unit are well thought of and even the wires blend in well (transparent). They could have made the stands a bit thinner, but I guess this has been preserved for the high-end models. I have coupled the system with a Samsung LCD TV and they work perfectly fine together via HDMI. Sound and picture quality are good. My only gripe would be that the fan is a bit vocal at night (when on standby). I have not explored the multitude of other goodies available though, but I am happy with the product.
After 8 months the unit failed to read any discs and the fan noise is very loud. Contacted Samsung customer care (who are not customer friendly at all) and adviced to take unit to nearest dealer (13 miles away). Awaiting word from the dealer.

Purchased this product on 28th Nov. After hearing good things about it I thought I would give it a shot. Have followed the instruction manuel to the letter and hooked everything up. Insert the plug for the DVD unit into the mains and................nothing. Not a single thing happened. All I get is a steady red light when the power is. The remote won't work and neither does using the DVD unit face buttons. I've tried using different power points, but still nothing. Even checked all my connections and still.........nothing. Very, very upset for this to happen as was looking forward to some Pro Evo with the system.

I have purchased the above with the addition of the wireless back speakers box. I am unable to get the wireless box to work. Wondering if anyone can help on how to set this up, Thanks

Lovely piece of kit and well worth the money. Doesn`t come with HDMI or optic cable, not really a problem as it comes with a video cable, so anyone wanting to watch a film could do so pretty easily straight from the box, but they are much needed for sky and xbox. It looks really good, a nice blue illuminates from the DVD player when on, the upscaling is very good. The tallboy speakers are easy to put together and are surprisingly clear and loud, the sub is immense, movie`s have never sounded so good, true cinema. The Bluetooth function is nice, using my phone i can just bluetooth my music real time from my phone straight to the unit into 5.1, very nice as saves having to mess around with c.ds. Set up is a case of getting to know the remote and menu, which takes only moments. Easy to use, beautiful sound, looks good and value for money. I`m just glad i bought it.

The Bluetooth is very limited, doesn't like the iphone. Also doesn't go up very loud at max volume, but otherwise good overall sound quality. Only one HDMI port and one optical sound port. Struggles a little when playing newer codec videos like Divx / XVID.
