I've changed my camera every year - this is the best so far.
Slightly heavier than many others - but easy to "pocket"
Instructions simple to follow (I'm generally pretty slow with instructions) Large screen superb for viewing.
Optical magnification of 10 quite amazing.
Pictures in daylight - excellent. Some disappointment with
night time and other low light shots. (perhaps i havn't quite got the "hang of it")
Will persevere to try and get improvement.

Great camera
(4 out of 5) by Robert Jones on Dec 10, 2008 (UK)I've just bought this camera for a trip to India. I found it very good indeed; the pictures are very sharp and the intelligent auto is superb. My one slight disappointment was the size of the LCD; I have a Canon Ixus and felt that the LCD was too small on that camera. The LCD on the TZ5 is bigger but it's not as big as I thought it would be. For this reason I've given it four stars. I did consider the Canon G9 as an alternative and someone else on the trip had this and, to be strictly honest, although the TZ5 is a superb camera, I wish, with hindsight, that I'd bought the G9.
robust, easy to use and not too heavy

Plus reviews in general were good. Everything so far has turned out well. It has even been dropped once or twice with no ill effects. Low light indoor conditions could be much better. However is always easy to turn a light on. Also if you like making money or giving to charity you can link to amazon on pigsback.com.
