it blew up!!!! made an awful racket after a week! did sound good when it worked though!

Great, but not very portable!

The sound is very good (sorry, I don't do technical) and I've just turned it to full volume which is more than sufficient for my needs - playing in my own home and in hotel rooms.
You may need to dig out the little bit of plastic that came with your iPod to allow it to fit in the docking part, as the one that was included did not fit my iTouch 2nd Gen. Once this was found however, it charges both my 2nd Gen and my husband's 1st Gen. The remote control works with volume, bass and treble and will pause/play and scroll forwards and back through your playlist, but doesn't have the full functionality to completely control the iPod.
Delivery from Amazon was within the promised time and was packaged well. It came with 2 leads, UK and USA pins which was very handy for our recent hols. This however is the only point that prevents my giving it the full 5 stars - it weighs a ton! Well, 5.5 pounds to be precise, which takes up quite a lot of luggage weight, and space, in your suitcase. Still, to be fair, it isn't marketed as 'portable' and doesn't have a battery only function, so that's more my fault for picking this model than a design fault.
All in all, I'm really pleased with it and think it's good value for money.

I was not disappointed. It has fantastic range and great bass.My Ipod touch fits perfect and i was pleased that it charges without a prob as this was my concern on other models after reading reviews.It looks great in any room and is easily moved from room to room.Good quality equipment at a good price.

Altec Lansing T612 - High End Speaker for iPod

It gives plenty of volume from the iPod for a party and provides generally good quality sound with a good range of adjustment of bass and treble, although it does not fall into the hi-fi category.
I would recommend it for general use around the home.
