Excellent Speaker for Ipod Classic
Excellent quality speaker which complements that ipod classic. Very quick and easy to use straight out of the box, simply plug in and turn on. Sound is great at whatever volume you choose.
It is a good looking speaker which does not look out of place in our dining room. The remote control is handy, small and slim only wished it could change the albums on the ipod.
I looked at other high end speakers and have not regretted my choice for both quality and looks.

The Altec Lansing T612
I spent a lot of time researching just what would be the best speaker dock to buy for my iPhone. In the end a great review from the Which guide pointed me in the direction of the Altec Lansing series. With the T602 (The only dock to date specific to the iPhone) I was particularly impressed by the fact that my iPhone didn't need to be in flight mode for speaker docking and also that one can still take calls whilst the iPhone is docked. (You will need a bluetooth headset for this as the iPhone's internal micropone is covered when the the phone is in dock.)
When the item arrived, I was very happy with the design. It looks and feels like a quality piece of kit and although it came with a concise instructions booklet, I didn't need it to get going.
I tested the machine with Stravinsky's Les Noces which is a monster piece with some very loud moments that some speakers find it hard to cope with. The amount of volume possible is staggering with very little distortion even at the extremes. It gives a pleasing amount of bass and I found that tweaking the levels of Bass and Treble which one can do on the machine itself or with the remote, (blue lights behind the metal gause give a visual representation of this along with volume) really got the best out of the sound. Having worked through Lotti's Crucifixus, some Bach motets and the King's Singers' Beatles Collection I moved on to Wonderboy by Tenacious D (for which I had to make some Bass/Treble adjustments to get the best quality sound) I was very impressed with what I was hearing. I would go as far as to say the sound quality is better than the average home hifi. (I have now retired mine.)
The only downside I can see is the fact that one can only adjust volume and move from track to track within an album from the remote. All other functions can be easily accessed whilst the iPhone is in dock but I've found that the handset does move backwards under only a little pressure putting strain on the connection which seems a little flimsy. With a little care though, this shouldn't prove a problem.
If you want a dock which will give you sound as good or better than your hifi and you can't afford Bose, look no further. Going with a cheaper option, especially if you're using an iPhone will only lead to irritation and dissapointment.
As a professional classical musician I am very pleased with the quality this machine delivers.

nice surprise
I bought this as a Christmas present to my wife and it has replaced her mini hi-fi since.Excellent built quality and unbelievable sound.
It also takes very little room in relation to the quality of the speakers.

Excellent sound at a low price
A cracking speaker that works with an ipod Nano. I use it around the home and the sound is great at low and medium volumes. The loud settings makes the windows vibrate! My wife uses it for teaching kids dance routines and the sound is perfect for the small hall that they use. The only other speakers I could find with this power output were several times the price. If you want an ipod speaker that is small, loud, decent quality and c. £100 you can't go wrong with this.

Fantastic product
Received this product less than 36 hours after placing my order and its fantastic. Very good sound, very easy to use and compact. Even comes with a wall mount if you want one. The only gripe is it says its compatible with an Iphone 3G, but everytime I attach mine the Iphone complains that this device isnt compatible. Clicking No on the prompt solves that problem. I can live with that although you wonder why the manual says it is OK.
I tested a B&O and the Zeppelin Iphone speaker system beforehand and this sounds as good for a 1/3rd of the price.
Would I buy one again - yes.
