For the price I thought this was a fantastic camera. I bought it my wife for her birthday to replace a kodak camera she had broken. The cost was about the same but the camera I pesonally think is much better. As far as the picture quality goes there isn't anything to choose but the little touches you get from the canon are fantastic. The colour accent itself is worth the money, it can give you some amazing pictures.

I love this little camera, takes up no space at all. Loads of features and quite easy to learn basic features. Most of all fantastic pictures. Make sure you know how to use the most common features before you take it out though.

I have owned several small digital cameras, up until now most of them sony. The Canon IXUS 85 IS is simply the best digital camera i have ever owned. Quality pictures, very user-friendly and an array of fab settings; overall brilliant! I would recommend this camera to anyone; from children to experienced photographers. Canon rules ok :)

I have had three Canon Digital cameras over two years & after a few months all of them developed lens problems. The problem starts with a sound as though something has come loose inside, then the picture goes to sepia on screen with massive lag between shots. I really wouldn't advise the Ixus.

read all the reviews inc Which magazine etc ....this little beauty is cheaper and does virtaully everything that the new far more expensive (and lesser rated by which) replacement model - buy it whilst u can
bought it for the missus as a birthday present - tiny technological perfection... solid compact takes great video and pictures esp in low light 10/10
