The Canon IXUS 85 IS is simply the best digital camera i have ever owned. Quality pictures, very user-friendly and an array of fab settings; overall brilliant! I would recommend this camera to anyone; from children to experienced photographers. Canon rules ok :)
Poor quality

The problem starts with a sound as though something has come loose inside, then the picture goes to sepia on screen with massive lag between shots. I really wouldn't advise the Ixus.

Excellent zooming eye piece good face recognition software and macro. The card and battery case lid opened accidentally once and looks flimsy. The first camera I purchased, the viewing screen was not working and was replaced by Amazon with no fuss or bother. There was no warning that the battery was running out so a spare is a good idea. Excellent hard leather case.
