Excellent little camera
Bought this camera on behalf of my mum who'd been very disappointed with a similar styled Sony that didn't last two years without breaking.
Having recently lost faith in Sony compacts I thought it was time to give Canon a go. I have always been a fan of Canon - I have a collection of old SLR's and film compacts - and have one of their DSLRs for more professional shots.
Neither myself or my mum have been disappointed with this camera, it has a sturdy build with a quality feel to the finish, good clear screen, beautiful true colours.
I don't know why I ever bought Sonys, I won't be going back. This little camera is an excellant buy.

Fantastic Camera
I bought this for my wife as a replacement for her Ixus55 which broke when dropped, oh the joys of having a 3yo in the house. Initially we thought it would be pretty much the same as the Ixus55 but we've been highly impressed by the improvements.
The three biggest changes we like are the way the ISO changes automatically to best suit the shooting environment whilst letting you know by showing it on the display. The second major improvement is the flash which seems to fill fairly big voids with just the right amount of light. Lastly, the start-up is very quick for a point & shoot camera.
This camera is a joy to use, it has a nice feel, is light and the Canon design is now imitated by all the other camera manufacturers.

Excellent Camera
This really is an excellent camera! Small, light and easy to handle; it'll even fit nicely into a shirt pocket! It has a massive 10 megapixels, sharp telephoto lens, image stabiliser so no more occasional blurred shots, lots of easy-to-use features and simple computer software to download with. To be honest, there's really not much more you actually need with a camera; it uses "JPEG" to store info, but unless you need to shoot in ultra high definition ("RAW" or "TIF"), or intend to enlarge your prints to poster size and beyond, this just isn't a problem.
Cracking Camera
For the price I thought this was a fantastic camera. I bought it my wife for her birthday to replace a kodak camera she had broken. The cost was about the same but the camera I pesonally think is much better. As far as the picture quality goes there isn't anything to choose but the little touches you get from the canon are fantastic. The colour accent itself is worth the money, it can give you some amazing pictures.
Great, stylish, compact
I love this little camera, takes up no space at all. Loads of features and quite easy to learn basic features. Most of all fantastic pictures. Make sure you know how to use the most common features before you take it out though.
