i brought this item by amazone, quick delivery, easy to set up and go. best future of this product is digital and coxical input for tv and x box360. amazing .. its enough to shake u r home. u can play musc from u r laptop or mobile via bluetooth and play music using usb as well. its totally more than u imagine. great value for money.

I love Sony products, always been great quality. Purchased this last year and works great in any room, set up the position of your speakers then plug in the microphone that comes with the unit, run the set up menu and it gives you the best sound for that room, or just plug it in and play, fabulous sound. I also got this cheaper on Amazon than in Curry's or Comet.

A good piece of kit, worth buying if you can still find it around.

The sound output is amazing and the DVD up-scaling is great although if you are going or have gone Blu-ray then this system is going to look like old hat.

One optical input means you can feed sound back out through your tv from whatever devices you have connected to it, including console, blu-ray etc.

More inputs and multi-region out of the box would have made this five stars.

After much faffing about and spending too much time in the local Sony store to see what it looked like in real life, decided to take the plunge and press the "add to basket" option here on Amazon. Having read loads of positive reviews, I didn't think any system would be THAT good. HOW WRONG WAS I?? It is great - easy to install, easy to look at and easy to listen to. Fantastic sound and the cute little speakers (how girlie does that sound?!) do not impose. Haven't had to buy speaker stands - they just sort of blend with the ornaments!
Highly recommended - Barry White has never sounded so good!

This will be short - basically this is an awesome piece of kit - I currently have my PC, my PS3, my 360 and my Sky Box connected to this using one optical splitter for the two games consoles and then a 3 way optical switch to connect the PC, consoles and sky to the unit.

The sound quality is fantastic, and outputs standard 2.0, Dolby Pro Logic 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1.

The auto calibration works well - and the quality of the actual surround speakers means you actually get the feeling of things flying past you or being behind you - it has improved my movie experience (compared to my previous Logitech X-540s) and it makes gaming on the PS3 so much more immersive.

The bass is amazing - in fact I have had to turn the sub down in the config (to -2) so that it doesnt vibrate my house. As an experiment I turned the sub up high (+6), loaded the Matrix and went to the lobby scene - I had to turn it off after about 5-10 secs as I thought my house was going to fall down lol.

If you can get hold of one of these I would highly recommend that you do.
