Excellent bit of kit
(5 out of 5) by T. Walker on Aug 12, 2008 (Welsh Borders UK)Purchased this system with a hdmi cable and a digital optical cable.Once i had set it up it played dvds,cds and all of sky programmes very well indeed.
i was a bit dubious at first because of the price,but my fears were unfounded as it cheerfully plays anything you throw at it in several different modes,including multi surround,pro-logic,stereo etc.
I would not be with out it now.Watched King Kong at nearly full bore and the effects were great.oh yes, nearly forgot it upscales to nearly HD quality too!.Use with a bravia TV or similar(need more than 1 HDMI connection,and also connect with a digital optical cable for best results

just what i hoped for

Awesome. Worth Every Penny.

When i found this i was optimistic, I thought that it wasn't going to be that good for the price of it, but i was wrong. This Sony system is fantastic. I bought it after lots of searching for a descent system and i am so glad that i did. I have plugged in my PS3 and sky and the sound is fantastic. Very easy to set up, only took a few minutes. I would highly recommend this dvd player to anyone that wants one. You will not find a better dvd player for this low a price.

Superb product!!!!!!

The reason i bought it though was to connect my PS3 via it's optical connection. I can now watch Blue Ray movies and play games at their full potential.

Sony quality -tiny price

Sound is clear and distinct and controls are simple. This has got to be one of the best of the 'low end' quality home cinema kits around and I can highly recommend it!
